The first game students should play on Halloween is Resident Evil, or as it is known in Japan, Biohazard. This is a classic among many video game horror fans. The original game came out in 1996, and since then had many remasters. You play as either Chris Redfield or Jill Valentine, both with unique abilities. They are part of a group called S.T.A.R.S, which stands for Special Tactics and Rescue Services, and are on a mission to to investigate bizarre murders that have been happening.  All victims had strange bite marks on them and signs of cannibalism. The main game takes place in a mansion with you and your team members exploring, after hearing a suspicious gunshot. The game has multiple endings. depending on what you do in the game and how long you take. This game by many horror fans is considered one of the most scary video game of all time.

Another game students should play on Halloween is a game called The Evil Within. The Evil Within is a psychological survival horror game developed by Tango GameWorks and Published by Bethesda Software  A fellow gamer who is also studying to become a nurse, David Gonzalez, recommended this game. “The Evil within, just amazing” he said.  Evil Within received positive reviews upon its release in 2014: “Dark maps, with lack of lighting and they come out of nowhere, lots of game over screens” The player takes control of Sebastian Castellanos as he makes his way through a world full of nightmarish locations and horrid creatures. The game was directed by Resident Evil creator Shinji Mikami.

BloodBorne is another game students should play this Halloween. It’s an action role-playing game developed by From Software and published by Sony Computer Entertainment. While the game is not scary in the traditional sense, it has one of the most disturbing atmosphere in video games today. It takes place in gothic London-like city called Yharnam where the night of the hunt is happening. You create  an avatar who is a  hunter to explore Yharnam and to find out what the hunt is. The game is extremely hard and should be played by students who like to see the game over screen a lot.

Outlast is another game students should play. Jermaine White, who wants to go to school to become a videogame creator, said, “To be honest I haven’t played a lot scary games. I played, well watched this game called outlast that had me jumping out of my chair and had a holy crap moment”. According to most fans, this is a very scary game even to watch. In fact a lot of gamers watched it on websites like Twitch and Ustream, which is a website where gamers stream there game for others to watch.

Fellow student Fredric Cilbrith, who is going to Housatonic to become a journalist, \recommended Castlevania. The Castlevania series was created and developed by Konami. Its first game was  released in 1986 in japan on system called Family Computer Disk System or FDS for short.
