Celebrating National Teacher Appreciation Week

The Horizons staff is again commemorating National Teacher Appreciation Week by highlighting some of the teachers and approaches that have had the greatest impact on them as students.   With the changes all teachers across the world have had to quickly make to accommodate the shift to remote teaching and learning as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, it seems especially important to take a moment to recognize the fine work so many of them have done and are doing. The articles will feature a range of teachers, in a range of subjects, at a range of levels, from middle school through college, including some faculty right here at HCC.

We’ll be publishing  these articles throughout this week, so keep checking back.   We invite readers to participate by sharing their own stories of teachers that have made a difference for them!   Use the hashtags #thankateacher and #hccteacherappreciationweek on social media.
