Marketing Team Awards $300 in Prizes to HCC Students
Promoting Horizons to students turned out as a huge accomplishment and a successful way to attract students to join an outstanding course.
Upon being assigned a final marketing project, our team decided to run a contest to drive traffic to the Horizons website. Those who wished to enter were required to choose an article of interest and leave a thoughtful comment. Each comment would count as an entry, and we would award first, second, and third place prizes to the contestants that
Students won over $300 in prizes. Prizes included a power bank charger, HCC hoodies, t-shirts, school supplies, and everything a student would need beyond their textbooks.
With the support of the Bookstore Manager Pam Stevens and her generous donations, Student Activities Director Kelly Hope and her donations and support and Megan Cacioppo, who sent an email blast to HCC students, students experienced a generous raffle by students for students.
As our marketing team assembled the prizes to take pictures in Beacon Hall Cafeteria and a crowd began to gather around the table. Everyone wanted to know what they could do to win cool prizes. This is certainly a legacy our team “Ladies @ The Market” (LTM) would like to leave behind. However, next semester the entries will be counted from the semester’s onset.
