Cleanup Post Winter Wonderland

If Mother Nature is easy on us this year, we can expect only a few mere inches of snow. But many will tell you that inches do matter. So in the event of a good amount of snowfall, remember these cleanup tips:
- Bundle Up: You can never go wrong with a good knit hat and scarf. Gloves and layers will be your friend when you begin your work and keep them on through your body heat rising from all of the shoveling
- Use a Good Shovel: Many people prefer the long plastic shovels that scrape nice and smooth when scooping up the snow. This is a perfect shovel to carry a large amount and still allow you to be in control of it.
- Break it Up, Break it Up, Break it Up: Don’t just scoop random places of snow. You will shovel too much at one time and overexert yourself. Break up piles of the snow with your shovel and go little by little. Speaking of breaks, make sure you take a quick break in between the heaps of snow. Go inside and sit for a bit and rest your muscles.
- Stay Hydrated: Like any workout at the gym, it is vital that you keep yourself hydrated when you are shoveling. Having layers of clothing on plus your rising body heat will get you warm so keep a bottle of water in the fridge. And when you are done, reward yourself with a nice cup of tea or hot chocolate.
