Great Food to Try Locally
Being a huge supporter of both local small businesses as well as great food, I have to take this opportunity to advocate one of my favorite delis in Bridgeport. Madison Deli is a fabulous spot to order whatever you’re hankering for. This place has been open for over a year now. and I continually notice important little things that they keep improving, I try to support them as much as I can.
Madison Deli is located at 757 Madison Avenue in Bridgeport, not far into the north end (the number three city bus has a stop directly in front of Madison Deli for convenience). They open up at six-thirty every morning to serve a kicking cup of iced or hot coffee, as well as teas and juices. Their breakfast sandwiches come with two eggs, and that’s just one option for breakfast. They also serve breakfast platters, bagels, and more. For lunch they’ll make you: wraps, salads, sandwiches, gyros, grilled foods, vegetarian choices. They also have fruits and desserts. My usual is the tuna sandwich because I watch them make the tuna fresh just for my sandwich. Madison Deli also has a largely Latino staff, and those cultural influences are seen in their extensive Mexican menu which offers should food and drink as tortas, burritos, and they even carry Jarritos sodas!

The quality of Madison Deli’s food is an A+ You can really taste the freshness, which is really something rare in the restaurant world. The cooks have always made my order not just accurately but also very fast. I would like to say that I have never had any bad experiences in Madison Deli, but there was that time I commented that those tiny bags of chips were overpriced. They fixed it immediately, and the price is now lessened. What more can we want as customers? This place listens to and cares about their customers! They also operate in a very clean environment with extremely friendly staff.
